There are just three shows left in the Soundwaves concert series I’ve been running since 2016.
This Saturday is the debut of the new edition of Steuart Liebig’s minim, with legends Bre Gilcher (oboe),
Maggie Parkins (cello), and Vicki Ray (piano).
On June 22 the
Isaura String Quartet (Madeline Falcone, Emily Call, and two awesome players I haven’t met) has an amazing program, including the US premiere of a piece written for them by Sarah Hennies.
And it all wraps up July 6 with a set of improvisation by the Present Quartet: Ellen Burr (flutes), Anne LeBaron (harp), Charles Sharp (reeds), and yours truly on the contrabass.
All shows start at 3:30PM, at the Santa Monica Public Library Main Library MLK Auditorium 601 Santa Monica Blvd. One set, free admission.
